Work-based digital literacy training for workers<\/p>\n

From October 2020, Forwardspace will participate as lead partner in the Erasmus+ project “DIGITAL GURU”. Together with the project partners, we concluded that there is a need to provide companies with digital literacy learning tools that would empower their employees not only to become competent in their daily work, but also to improve their employability and increase their chances of getting new, more senior jobs.<\/p>\n

The aim of the project is to introduce innovative methods for effective management of workplace learning. DIGITAL GURU intends to provide SMEs, employers and family managers with innovative methods for organising an effective work and learning environment.<\/p>\n

The project will produce three different outputs:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A methodological toolkit for employers\/ HR managers – how to encourage and motivate professional and personal development through work-based activities among low-skilled adults.<\/li>\n
  2. A curriculum for employers\/HR managers to develop digital literacy skills<\/li>\n
  3. Innovative DIGITAL CLASSROOM for in-house testing of digital literacy skills in low-skilled jobs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The project will also include a short joint staff training event in Spain, which will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to brainstorm together on how to improve the tools in the project.<\/p>\n

    In order to fully achieve the goals and objectives of the DIGITAL GURU project and to ensure its successful and smooth implementation, the consortium has been carefully selected from a pool of interested parties. It consists of 5 partners that collectively represent a balanced mix of skills and expertise. Partners were chosen based on specific competences and experience, transversal competences but also geographical location in order to have countries with the spread of different situation regarding VET education & innovative methods, some of them with experience on digital training development, motivation and enhancement of workers, or direct involvement in the process.<\/p>\n

    The consortium has been put together based on profile\/experience-expertise ratio, taking into account the nature of the project and its expected impact. As most partners have worked together across different LLP and Erasmus+ projects, not only do they possess extensive experience in the financial and operational management of EU funded programmes, but also have the advantage of knowing and trusting each other.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
